First, I just want to say thank you so much for being here! Whether you found us through Instagram, a referral, or a Google search, I'm so glad you're hanging out in our little world.
I'm a wife, bonus mom to 2 girls, dog mom to the most sassy little sidekick, and a business woman. My roots are in the corporate world which has made me a little nerdy when it comes to seamless workflows and reporting, but one of my favorite roles is helping other women feel empowered. It brings a sense of fulfillment that's hard to put into words.
When I have a little downtime, I find myself listening to lawyers provide live coverage of current trials (the judicial system is wild, any other Emily D Baker fans?), getting in a workout, soaking in an epsom salt bath, and trying out new chocolate chip cookie recipes. I feel like maybe we should start a recipe club?

Previously known as Laura Henderson Makeup, we opened our doors in 2014. Laura was a baby makeup artist still learning her craft and how to run a business, while simultaneously, quite literally, being thrown in to the deep end of being a wedding vendor. Things took off quickly, so it was sink or swim.
Fast forward, we are now one of the leading bridal beauty providers in the DMV! Since 2014, we've added hairstyling to our services, Laura's last name changed in the summer of 2022, and the vision for the brand has evolved.
To celebrate 10 years in business, we treated ourselves to a major branding makeover that better suits who we are today and leaves room for growth. We hope you love it as much as we do!

Rebranding was a huge decision and we couldn't be more excited for the next 10 years!

We've moving back to the DMV! With this big life change comes big business upgrades. We couldn't think of a better time to give ourselves the ultimate makeover.

Laura's turn to walk down the aisle! She got married in the mountains of Montana, taking on the name Laura Starling.

We moved to Arizona. LHM continued booking bridal services in AZ, VA, MD, and DC for the next 3 years. So much travel!
